CHEESE COUNTRY TRAIL::


The Cheese Country Trail is OPEN to all ATV / UTV traffic. The Fayette portion of the trail will remain closed until further notice.

​Please remember to be respectful of the trail and those individuals that ride the trail.


ROAD ROUTES:

All routes are open.   Please see trail map for details on available routes.

The trail is open to ATVs year round, providing that trail conditions are conducive to ATV operation in the winter season. Please visit www.tricountytrails.com for updates regarding trail usage. The trail is always closed to ATVs from 1:00 a.m.–5:00 a.m. in any season.

  • Please stay on the trail and OFF private property.  Trespassing will not be tolerated.

  • Please obey trail signs. Do not cross barriers or ride in areas marked with yellow tape or a “NO ATV” sign.

  • Riding in the ditch area is a punishable offense, and causes damage and erosion to the trail.

  • Please do not litter.

  • Violators jeopardize everyone's' enjoyment and safety on the trail.   "Stay on the trail or stay home"

ATV routes through the city of Monroe are closed from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM.   ATV routes in Mineral Point are closed from 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

ATV routes through the city of Darlington are closed from 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM and are only open when the Cheese County Trail System is open.

The trail is open to snowmobiles when there is at least four inches of snow.   When the trail is open for snowmobiles, it is open 24 hours a day.
